Call of Duty: Is Night Mode Coming to Warzone?

Wondering if a night mode is coming to Call of Duty: Warzone in the near future? Here's what we know about the possibility so far.

The Call of Duty series found success in 2020 with its release of Warzone, a battle-royale themed shooter set in the CoD universe. While it is a separate game from Modern Warfare, the two titles have a lot in common and are often paired together. Because of this, some players are wondering if a night mode is coming to Warzone in the future, as there are a couple of different maps set in the dark in Modern Warfare. In this guide, we will take a look at what we know so far.

Is Night Mode Coming to Call of Duty: Warzone

If you’re familiar with Modern Warfare, you’ll know that there are a pair of night vision goggles that players can unlock to help them see enemies in the dark. The googles are accompanied by a few different variations of maps that are set in both the day and the evening time. So far, the nighttime setting has been fairly popular with players, prompting many to ask developers for a night mode to be added to Warzone.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, there are no public plans to bring a night mode to Call of Duty: Warzone. That’s not to say that there won’t be one added to the game eventually, though. But it looks like for the time being, players will have to keep on waiting.

What If Warzone had a Night-Time ( Illustrated ) from r/CODWarzone

Reddit user Shootballz made a post to r/CODWarzone, giving players a glimpse of what a night mode might look like in the game. As you can see in the image above it looks pretty cool, but even with all of the building windows lit up, it’d still be pretty hard to see. So if a night mode were to be added to Warzone, there would likely have to be a way for players to unlock a set of night vision goggles.
