Infinity Ward has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4 will be going live on June 10. With it, the development team is warning players to be prepared for a fairly large Season 4 update size on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. In this guide, we’ll take a look at the install size for the new season on every platform.
How Big Is the Modern Warfare Season 4 Install Size?
On Twitter, Infinity Ward Senior Communications Manager Ashton Williams shared that the “Season 4 update is going to be large,” despite a bunch of compressed assets. Williams didn’t share the exact install size, but GamingLYF, a well-known CoD leaker has revealed that the Modern Warfare Season 4 update size will be quite large for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, as seen in the list below.
- PlayStation 4: 34.7 GB
- Xbox One: 48.9 GB
- PC: 44.3-49.7 GB
It’s worth noting that the Warzone install sizes noted above are merely based on off leaks, so the final update size could come in a bit smaller or larger. However, with Williams’s warning and the leaked info, it’s safe to assume that players will need to clear up a fair amount of space on their hard drives to prepare for the update. Further, for those on PC, the update size will vary based on what you have downloaded. If you only have Warzone downloaded, your update will be closer to 44GB, but if you have both Warzone and Modern Warfare downloaded, your update will be closer to 50GB.

Season 4 was originally set to kick off in early June but was rightly delayed due to the larger conversation occurring as a result of the death of George Floyd. However, it seems that Infinity Ward is now ready to release the new season to the public, and based on the install size, it seems like there is a lot of content coming with it! While developers are keeping the content plans close to home, there have been some rumors that Warzone Season 4 might see some variation of zombies, which is a Call of Duty staple, but we will have to wait until it releases to learn more.
