Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is getting a One in the Chamber game mode. Here's everything you need to know about the playlist update.

The launch of Modern Warfare Season 4 brought in some new content for players to enjoy earlier this week, and it seems Activision isn’t done with the updates quite yet. The developers have announced that a new One in the Chamber game mode will be coming to Modern Warfare in the near future. Here’s a quick rundown on how the new game mode will work.

Modern Warfare One in the Chamber Game Mode Details

The new One in the Chamber game mode is expected to be added into the playlist sometime on June 16. Longtime fans of the Call of Duty franchise may remember this mode from Black Ops, but in case you don’t, here’s how it’ll work. Basically, the match begins with every player getting the same randomized weapon, which will be a one-shot kill. Further, every player will start with a bullet and will get it back when they get a kill. Players will have three lives and will respawn with a bullet each time they die, and the player with the highest score at the end of the match will be crowned the winner.

The One in the Chamber mode has been pretty popular in previous titles, so it’ll be interesting to see what fans think of it in 2020. Recently, Activision removed the popular Plunder game mode from Modern Warfare unexpectedly, resulting in many fans becoming upset. However, developers ensured fans that it was only temporarily being removed and that it would be back soon.

Modern Warfare Season 4 also saw the edition of a new map called Trench, which also happens to be home to a unique easter egg. In case you don’t know, players who unlock both of the secret doors at the bunker will be greeted by a minigun wielding teddy bear of death. It sounds kind of stupid at first, but it’s actually pretty cool once you’ve seen it in action.

Season 4 also has some cool updates to Warzone, like a new Jailbreak feature that allows players to return from the dead. If you haven’t tried it out yet, Jailbreak is basically a random event that can happen in any Warzone match that will bring every eliminated player still in the game back to their team, even if they lost in the Gulag and are spectating.
