Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – How to Slide Cancel

Long time Call of Duty fans may be familiar with the slide cancel technique that will allow players to move across the map quicker. If not, here's how it works.

The slide cancel trick has been a part of Call of Duty for a while now and has been continued in Modern Warfare. If you’re not familiar with it, the trick essentially allows players to sprint and slide continuously without losing stamina and will allow players to quickly aim down sights after the movement has finished. In this guide, we are going to explain how to perform a slide cancel in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

How to Slide Cancel in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Performing the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare slide cancel trick is actually pretty simple and won’t require a whole lot of practice. All you need to do is perform a normal slide while sprinting and then press the slide button again before the action is finished. This will allow you to run and slide quickly across the map without losing much stamina. Further, it’ll allow you to aim down sights much quicker than you would be able to after a completed slide.

It’s also worth noting that if you’re playing on PC, you’ll want to go into the game settings and rebind the “Left CTRL” button to “Change Stance/Slide.” While it may not seem important, this will allow you to seamlessly go from running to sliding and back to running without a jump at the end. If you’re on consoles, you don’t have to worry about that.

Modern Warfare began its third season earlier this month and brought some new changes to the game. One of the more minor changes is a really cool easter egg that allows players to uncover a minigun shooting teddy bear in the new Trench map. The process is a bit confusing and is clearly explained in our guide, but essentially you’ll need to track down two different codes that will allow you to uncover the hidden easter egg.

A recent update also allows players to compete in a new game mode called Face Off, which is a cross between traditional multiplayer and a 3v3 Gunfight. On the other hand, if you’ve been playing Warzone, there is a new feature in the game called Jailbreak that will allow all dead players to return to the game, even if they lost in the Gulag. The only catch is that Jailbreaks occur randomly in the match.

If you’ve already mastered the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare slide cancel technique, then there is still plenty of other stuff that players can do in the game.
