Though you won’t see it in the meta weapon slots, some players have been running the VEL 46 as a last resort in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play. With the right attachments, utilizing the MP7 can actually work as a last resort due to the TTK that the weapon has.
At range, you’ll find this SMG is nearly useless, which is where the Vanzev-9k and the Lachmann Sub will decimate it. But up close, it can still be decent, and the recoil is almost non-existent. We’ll go over how you can build the best MW2 Ranked Play loadout for the VEL 46 in our guide.
COD MW2 Ranked Play – Best VEL 46 Loadout
Like the other submachine guns in ranked, we only want to run four different attachments due to restrictions in the CDL ruleset. Otherwise, the weapon will become too bulky without any positives to justify it. Below you can find all the pieces you need for success in MW2.
VEL 46 Ranked Play Loadout:
- Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum
- Underbarrel: Agent Grip
- Rear Grip: Schlager Soldier Grip
- Stock: Demo RXT Stock
The first two attachments listed are meant for control of the weapon. we’re not going for any range because that’s a losing battle regardless of the boosts. However, using pieces like the Bruen Pendulum muzzle and the Agent Grip under barrel can be fantastic for ensuring our shots are accurate.

Next, we want to add the Schlager Soldier Grip rear grip and the Demo RXT Stock. Both of these VEL 46 attachments will give us a huge mobility boost in COD MW2 Ranked Play. That way, we can attempt to keep up with the Vaznev-9k in close quarters battles.
