Best Recipes for Slip Resistance in Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK)

Slippery when wet

It’s happened to all of us. You see a cliff in Tears of the Kingdom and think. “Okay, I have enough stamina, I can climb it”. You start to climb, progressing very slowly and surely, but somewhere halfway to the top it suddenly starts to rain, you lose your grip and fall all the way down. Then you curse and throw your Switch across the room.

Well, you don’t have to do that, because, unlike the Breath of the Wild, there are ways to increase your Slip Resistance and stop this from happening this time around. One of the solutions is cooking some food that provides you with this effect. So, let’s check out the best recipes for Slip Resistance in Tears of the Kingdom.

How to Cook the Best Food for Slip Resistance in Tears of the Kingdom

The best thing you can cook up that will give you Slip Resistance is, without a doubt, Sticky Elixir. This is a new potion added to the Tears of the Kingdom, and to make it you will have to cook the following ingredients together:

  • Sticky Lizard x1 or Sticky Frog x1
  • Any Monster Part up to x4

Sticky Frog can be found in West Necluda and Lanayru Great Spring, while for Sticky Lizard you should explore Hyrule Caves, and for Monster Parts – just kill any monster. If you make your Elixir with four Sticky Lizards, the effect will last longer.

A much more effective solution for Slip Resistance in Tears of the Kingdom is, of course, collecting the Slip Resistance Armor set – the Froggy Suit. We already wrote about how to find Froggy Hood, Froggy Leggings, and Froggy Sleeve so check it out, it’s a fun side-quest. Once you have it, equipping this set will add so much Slip Resistance that you won’t have any more problems with slipping while climbing cliffs, or have the need to make Sticky Elixirs.
