Once you get to level 31 in the Battle Pass, the RA 225 is up for grabs in Warzone Season 5. Unlike the new EX1 from the start of the latest pass, the RA offers up tons of mobility and close-quarters damage. With weapons like the Armaguerra getting nerfed, there’s plenty of room for a new submachine gun king.
The RA 225 is based on a high fire rate and the capacity for quick handling. There are plenty of attachments for the weapon in the Gunsmith that allow for versatile classes and ranges. But at its core, the RA is perfect for shredding through enemies that get a little too close, and our loadout will show you how to maximize the potential.
Warzone Season 5 – Best RA 225 Loadout
There are two different builds that you can focus on for the new RA 225 submachine gun. One is a sniper support build like so many other SMGs and the other is a close-range shredding machine. As a mid-range weapon, the RA still has a bit too much recoil and not enough damage. We’ve found that the close-range attachments make the most out of the weapon and they’re all listed below.
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: Urban THM 12.5″
- Underbarrel: Mark VI Skeletal
- Rear Grip: Taped Grip
- Stock: Urban TAC
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Magazine: 9mm 48 Round Drums
- Ammunition: Lengthened
- Perk 1: Tight Grip
- Perk 2: Quick
First up on the list is the Recoil Booster, and this is an easy choice for any close-range submachine gun build in Warzone Season 5. This muzzle will boost the fire rate of the RA 225, and in turn, the overall DPS of the weapon. Because we’re at close-range, it won’t be a huge problem for control.
Next up is the Urban THM 12.5″ barrel. Mobility is one of the most important aspects of the loadout and the Urban THM is perfect for it. You’ll lose some stability but you’ll gain sprint-to-fire and aim walking move speed. Both of those are integral to controlling tight corridors and small spaces.

For the grip attachments, the Taped Grip and the Mark VI Skeletal are the best options. These grips will improve handling along with speed. Add the Urban TAC along with those and you have a recipe for shredding enemies before they know what hit them.
The last integral piece to this RA 225 puzzle is the ammunition and the magazine that you choose. For close-quarters, the 9mm 48 Round Drums have all the damage you need and far more capacity than the 7.62 Gorenko mags. Add the Lengthened ammo to the build and you’ll have all the power and velocity you need.
