MX9 Ranked Play

You might be tired of the meta weapons in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play and now you are looking for some weapons to shake things up. Many of the submachine guns in the game are still good enough to get by if you really want to test yourself, and the MX9 especially has some great qualities.

The STB 556, which is restricted from use in Ranked Play, is the assault rifle version of the MX9. You may not be able to use the AR, but the SMG variant is fantastic as a hybrid weapon. In our MW2 guide, we will go over exactly how you can build this weapon, so it is close to viable in competitive modes.

COD MW2 Ranked Play – Best MX9 Loadout

On this class, we are only going to use four of the five attachment slots available. Otherwise, the weapon becomes too slow, and fighting against the Vaznev-9k will be harder than it already is. We simply want a balance between control, range, and speed. All the attachments can be found below.

MX9 Ranked Play Loadout:

  • Barrel: 508mm Rear Guard
  • Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum
  • Comb: FTAC C11 Riser
  • Rear Grip: Bruen Q900 Grip

We are going to split this loadout into two parts, so the weapon reaches the balance we want. First, we add the 508mm Rear Guard barrel and the Bruen Pendulum muzzle. These are both going to add tons of control, and the barrel will even give us additional bullet velocity, along with extra damage range. Make sure to tune your barrel for recoil and ADS speed though.

Next, we want the Bruen Q900 Grip on the rear grip and the FTAC C11 Riser comb. Both of these offer plenty of ADS and sprint to fire speed which is integral to any SMG build within MW2 Ranked Play. Tune these as well if you would like a mobility boost on the weapon.
