It was only a matter of time, but the MP40 is back on top of the Warzone Season 5 Reloaded meta. The latest round of buffs pushed the classic submachine gun far enough on the ladder to take over the PPSh-41 and the Armaguerra.
In the Warzone Season 5 Reloaded patch notes, the MP40 received a simple buff to the bullet velocity and range on a specific magazine attachment. This submachine gun from Vanguard was already considered meta for nearly all of the Caldera life cycle, but this buff brought it back to-S-Tier. Warzone Season 5 Reloaded – Best MP40 Loadout
Within the current Warzone Season 5 Reloaded meta, the MP40 is best used as a primary submachine gun. That means building it for close and mid-range potential rather than as point-blank sniper support. Below you can find all of the required attachments for the best loadout possible.
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: Krausnick 317mm 04B
- Underbarrel: Mark VI Skeletal
- Rear Grip: Taped Grip
- Stock: Krausnick 33m Folding
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 45 Round Mags
- Ammunition: Lengthened
- Perk 1: Momentum
- Perk 2: Quick
Our barrel attachments are first on the list and the muzzle is fairly standard. Recoil Boosters are always used on close-range builds for the fire rate and overall DPS that they provide. To counterbalance it and help with the mid-range, the Krausnick 317mm 04B is equipped in the barrel slot. Together, these are two of the most important components along with the base stats of the MP40.
Next, we need some good supporting attachments starting with the grips. In this case, we want the Taped Grip and the Mark VI Skeletal underbarrel. Both of these options have been popular for the last couple of seasons due to the accuracy and control that they provide. Add the Krausnick 33m Folding stock for some more movement speed and you have the perfect combination.

Last on the list is the ammunition, and most importantly, the magazine. The 7.62 Gorenko 45 Round Mags were buffed in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded, and they were already considered good before. These are integral for the damage they provide, and now they no longer have steep negatives like before. Lengthened ammunition on top makes the MP40 nearly unstoppable.
