Nearly every player in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play will be using the Vaznev-9k if they are SMG roles, even after the slight nerf to damage range on the weapon. However, the Lachmann Sub is a close second that has a couple of benefits of its own when compared to the Vaznev.
Up close, the Lachmann Sub has nearly the same damage as the Vaz, if not better in many situations. Even at range, the MP5 has the potential to pump more damage into an enemy. Control of the weapon and the available attachments are what hold it back, so we are here to sort them in this MW2 loadout guide.
COD MW2 Ranked Play – Best Lachmann Sub Loadout
Like the Vaznev-9k loadout we have for competitive modes, the MP5 should only have four attachments to maintain a balance of control and ADS speed. Below you can find all of the required pieces for the MP5 loadout in Call of Duty: Modern 2 Ranked Play.
Lachmann Sub Ranked Play Loadout:
- Barrel: L38 Falcon 226mm
- Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum
- Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
- Rear Grip: Lachmann TCG-10
- Stock: N/A
The largest problem with the Lachmann is trying to give the weapon good control while maintaining the ADS speed required to be competitive with the Vaznev. We use the L38 Falcon 226mm barrel here to help with some of the speed issues on the weapon.
Our next few attachments are all for control. Both the Bruen Pendulum and the Lachmann TCG-10 will help give the MP5 some much-needed control. close to mid-range fights are integral and these will ensure that each shot goes down range in the right direction. The FSS Sharkfin also adds a bit of accuracy without any real negatives.

Some players will fill the stock slot, but we leave that empty here. The no-stock is the only real viable attachment here, but the control will fly out the window. Leave this spot empty in Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play for the Lachmann Sub.
