Best Lachmann-556 Loadout in COD MW2 Ranked Play

The MP5's sad older brother.

There are a decent number of assault rifles you can choose from in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play, despite all of the restrictions in the class. As of now, the TAQ-56 remains the king of the class, but a weapon like the Lachmann-556 could be right behind it in the future.

Before we get into the actual loadout, you should keep in mind that the Lachmann-556 is not recommended for Ranked Play. However, if the TAQ-56 ever gets restricted, this could be the next assault rifle in line. If you want to experiment, or that day ever comes, we have the build for you in COD MW2.

COD MW2 Ranked Play – Best Lachmann-556

One of the best attributes of the weapon is the base level of accuracy. On the other hand, there is a decent amount of kick to deal with, and a lack of range, so we need to factor that in as well. You can find all five necessary attachments below so the assault rifle is at its most viable.

Lachmann-556 Ranked Play Loadout:

  • Barrel: Lachmann Nova
  • Underbarrel: Edge-47 Grip
  • Rear Grip: LMK64 Grip
  • Stock: FT Mobile Stock
  • Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity

Choosing a barrel, or not, can be difficult for this AR. On our loadout, the Lachmann Nova is the best choice for an attachment that provides range and control without too much of a hit to movement. To help boost the control even further, add the Edge-47 Grip underbarrel and tune the control.

We want some mobility pieces in our next two slots. Both the LMK64 Grip rear grip and the FT Mobile Stock will add plenty of speed to the weapon. This still needs to be able to contest up close, so having the mobility slots is a must in COD MW2 Ranked Play.

Our last attachment is the 5.56 High Velocity ammunition, which is essentially a staple for any assault rifle in Ranked Play. You will need to tune these to maximize the bullet velocity and damage range to make the most of these, but they give you a massive boost in MW2.
