Who needs the RPK?

The RPK meta is an era that ended after months of agony in Call of Duty: Warzone 2, and after the nerf of the light machine gun, the window for new weapons opened up. One of those weapons was the lighter version of the RPK, which is the Kastov 762 in Warzone and COD DMZ.

In Season 3, the assault rifle version of the RPK has more benefits and is a lighter variant of the LMG we all remember. We may not have the same magazine capacity, but the damage is still there on the Kastov 762 and mobility is higher. Get the full loadout in our weapon guide.

Warzone 2 Season 3 & COD DMZ – Best Kastov 762 Loadout

The build on this rifle should be similar to the ones used on other assault rifles, so many of the attachments will be familiar. However, there is more kick to deal with on an AK-47 when compared to something like the ISO Hemlock. Below you can find all the necessary attachments that I use when I bring this heavy hitter into Al Mazrah or Ashika Island.

Kastov 762 Loadout Warzone 2 & COD DMZ:

  • Barrel: KAS-10 584mm Barrel
  • Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5
  • Underbarrel: XTEN Gravedigger
  • Magazine: 40 Round Mag
  • Optic: AIM OP-V4

Three of the attachments on this build are geared toward recoil control and the effective damage range of the assault rifle. The ZLR Talon 5 and the KAS-10 584mm Barrel are necessary to make this weapon feel like the classic RPK. On the underbarrel, I like to use the XTEN Gravedigger for some added accuracy, but you can use a recoil rear grip for more mobility as well.

Our other two attachments for the Kastov 762 are the 40 Round Mag and the AIM OP-V4 optic. These are meant to be supporting pieces to the loadout, and while the optic is subjective, the 40 Round Mag is integral for modes like DMZ and Warzone 2. Without the capacity, the fights will be over far too quickly.
