Best Kassadin Build in Teamfight Tactics Magic n’ Mayhem Set 12

One-man team right here!

Kassadin is an often overlooked endgame carry in Teamfight Tactics’s Set 12 Magic n’ Mayhem because he’s a two-cost champion. He carries the Multistriker trait that has the makeup of any late-game carry. However, he can be extremely underwhelming if you have the wrong items and setup. Here’s the best way to build and use Kassadin in TFT Set 12.

Best Portal Multistriker Kassadin Build in TFT Magic n’ Mayhem

Firstly, you must know that Kassadin is a magic-based fighter. Using B.F. Swords and other attack damage items are not ideal for Kassadin. Building him should revolve around synergizing with the Multistriker and his ability.

Kassadin’s Nether Blade ability (30/70 mana) – Kassadin gains a shield for three seconds upon stabbing the target for magic damage. For the rest of the combat or round, Kassadin gains stacking magic damage.

Looking at Kassadin’s Nether Blade ability, you want to keep him alive as much as possible to gain stacking magic damage. His skill also scales with Ability Power, and it takes 70 mana for Kassadin to cast an ability. You’ll want to add both survivability and ways to make Kassadin cast more during battle so he can gain more stacking damage.

His best items are the following:

  • Adaptive Helm
  • Archangel’s Staff

Adaptive Helm gives Kassadin armor and magic resistance as well as mana each time he is struck by an enemy. Archangel’s staff goes well with his stacking magic damage, making him an absolute single-target monster. You can be flexible with his third item slot. Artifacts, Radiant items, and even Emblems could make Kassadin even stronger. If you don’t have these options, you can go for a Hand of Justice to add some lifesteal or Omnivamp while getting more Mana.

Some noteworthy artifacts for Kassadin include Anima’s Visage, Death’s Defiance, Innervating Locket, and Seeker’s Armguard.

There are also some alternatives where you can use a Spear of Shojin and Guinsoo’s Rageblade (or Nashor’s Tooth) to get more mana and capitalize on Kassadin’s Multistriker trait to proc more attacks.

Best Team Composition for Kassadin in TFT Set 12

Since Multistriker lets Kassadin have a chance to attack multiple times, it gives him more chances to cast more abilities and get the stacking Ability Power quicker. You want to activate at least the three Multistriker traits, preferably with more front liners like Hecarim and Akali.

From here, you can build on Pyro to give your team some attack speed since you already have an Akali. The same goes for the Bastion trait, which coincidentally is Shen (Pyro and Bastion). Portal 3 also works if you add two more Portal units, so Kassadin can get a shield from the Portal trait buff, and you’ll also get more power through the Portal mechanic during combat.

Depending on your late-game goals, there are several alternatives to the build. You can get Multistriker 5 or seven or go for Portal 8 with three Multistrikers.

As long as you know how Kassadin’s ability and traits work, you should get a rough idea of how to scale him properly in different situations. You can also prepare for builds in future events such as Pengu’s Party.
