Battlefield 2042 Season 5 New Dawn introduces three new weapons, one of which is the GEW-46. Based on the real-world G36c, this assault rifle excels in the midrange, while still being serviceable in close and long-range engagements. Best GEW-46 loadout in Battlefield 2042
The GEW-46 has two main roles. It is either a midrange monster that can easily take out a target across a courtyard or field, or it is a close-range highspeed weapon for aggressive play. While it won’t compete with the AM-40, it can find a nice midground. To unlock the weapon you must reach level 40 in the season pass, but premium is not necessary.
Midrange
Muzzle: Champion Muzzlebreak
Underbarrel: BCG Light Grip
Magazine: Standard Issue
Sight: Ghost Hybrid 1.5x-4x
While there are a few options that could be swapped on this list, this is the set-up that I have found to be most effective. The Sight could be swapped for a Fusion Holo if you are comfortable hitting distant targets with it. However, the Champion Muzzlebreak is hard to beat for how controllable it makes the GEW-46. You can also feel free to swap to the High Power Extended Magazine which lets you put a lot of pressure on targets further away.

Close Range
Muzzle: 6KU Suppressor
Underbarrel: LWG Grip
Magazine: Standard Issue
Sight: Fusion Holo
If you are running and gunning then the combination of LWG Grip and Fusion Holo will let you bring up your sight rapidly and keep shots on target as you move. The 6KU suppressor could be swapped for a muzzle break if you think you need more control at range, but it’s hard to compete with the ability to deny the enemy information.
