The fourth and final weapon coming to Call of Duty: Warzone 2 in Season 1 is the Chimera assault rifle, and it’s already proving to be the beast that everyone remembers from Ghosts. The AR is fun to use, has plenty of customization to boast, and is a fantastic option for mid-range combat in Al Mazrah.
As a smaller version of the M13B, the Chimera has plenty of control mixed with an affinity for close-range combat. It doesn’t hurt that the time to kill is also super fast. The only downfall is the long-range capability of the weapon, but we won’t need to worry about that in our own loadout guide for the Honey Badger of Warzone 2.
Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded – Best Chimera Loadout
For this build, we want to focus on the new assault rifle as a sniper support weapon. That means the goal is for the weapon to be viable at close or medium range in a variety of situations. Long-range won’t matter as long as we have the sniper in our primary slot. All of the attachments you need can be found below.
- Receiver: Chimera
- Barrel: 10″ SA Phoenix
- Muzzle: Polarfire-S
- Underbarrel: VX Pineapple
- Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
- Magazine: 45 Round Mag
With most assault rifle loadouts, the first two attachments are geared towards control and range to make the weapon viable in multiple situations. We’ll lose the integrated suppressor on the Chimera, but the tradeoff is worth it. The attachments we want in this case are the 10″ SA Phoenix Barrel and the Polarfire-S muzzle. Together, they provide tons of damage range and bullet velocity, with control as an added bonus.
After the barrel pieces, the next step is the underbarrel. For most Warzone 2 long-range weapons, the FTAC Ripper 56 is the best option. On a Chimera sniper support though, we want to use the VX Pineapple or anything like a Merc Foregrip. These types of grips offer plenty of recoil control and massive hip fire benefits.

The last two support items are the Cronen Mini Pro optic and the 45 Round Mag. The magazine ensures we can take down more than one or two opponents, while the optic will allow for better target acquisition. You can always go for the irons, but they may get in the way.
