Beast of Reincarnation How to Beat Rangifier
Hunt down your first Nushi and claim its power.
Rangifier, the Deer Nushi, is the first boss you will face in Beast of Reincarnation, and it’s much more challenging than any of the mobs or elites you have faced thus far. To make matters worse, this Nushi has two phases while you barely have any skills early on. Here’s our guide on how to defeat Rangifier in Beast of Reincarnation.
How to Defeat Rangifier in Beast of Reincarnation
Moveset
Rangifier has two phases, and you have 3 Stimpak charges early on with barely any other methods to heal, so it’s mandatory to learn its attack pattern to avoid getting hit.
- Antler Swings: Rangifier swings its antlers at you twice. This attack should be parried.

- Projectiles: Rangifier takes a side step and launches three fast-moving projectiles at you. If you stay at a distance, it will spam this attack, and it can be difficult to consistently parry.
- Stomp Attack: Rangifier raises its front hooves and slams down on you. The stomp cannot be parried, so you need to dodge this and land a counterattack.

- Charge Attack: Rangifier charges at you and launches an uppercut with its antlers. You can easily parry this attack, but note that it will sometimes use this in melee range.
- Tree Bloom: Rangifier spawns a row of trees in your direction. You can simply sidestep this attack.
Luckily, he has four very basic attacks during the first phase, and once you get used to their timing, you can easily whittle its health down. I also suggest preserving your Fire element crossbow bolts and arrows for the second phase as it’s harder and some extra damage can help you clutch that fight.
Once you beat the first phase, a cutscene plays, and Rangifier enters its second phase. Luckily, there are only two new moves you need to worry about.
- Empowered Swings: Rangifier will glow red and swing at you four times, followed by an unblockable slam attack. The second swing is delayed, and you have to dodge the final slam attack.
- Heal: Rangifier spawns a few trees and heals itself. We suggest trying to apply burn to it or healing yourself during this gap.

Additional Tips
Additionally, note that Rangifier is weak to Fire element attacks. Your two best options at this point are the Fire Arrows and Koo’s Higanbana Seeds skill. The Fire Arrows can be unlocked by exploring the bottom left corner of the map inside a hideout protected by Golems. You’ll find the Fire Arrow Manual and can then upgrade them for more status buildup and quantity.
Some upgrades to Koo’s Higanbana seeds can also be helpful, but it’s better to focus on some of the other best early game skills at this point. Using Koo’s skills provides you with a small amount of healing, so keep that in mind and use the skills frequently. If you find a Charm with a Burn buff on it, we highly recommend using it for this fight.
Your best method of dealing damage will be to build up your Spirit Gauge and enter Entanglement Overdrive, as this will let you swing away at Rangifier for a ton of damage. Building up the Spirit Gauge requires parrying Rangifier’s attacks.
Defeating Rangifier rewards you with a bunch of EXP and Skill Points, along with the Blade Art Sakura skill for Emma and the Lightning Javelin for Koo.
