There are plenty of monsters to hunt down in Capcom’s 3DS release Monster Hunter: Generations, but you don’t always have to be on the go hunting them down. Instead, you should get to know your base camp, as there are several resources available that can come in handy.

Here’s a quick rundown of what you can find in your base camp in Monster Hunter: Generations!

Your Bed in Monster Hunter: Generations

First off, you have a bed. Sure, it doesn’t look the most comfortable, but it’ll allow you to get some much-needed rest if the situation calls for it. It’s a great way to restore any lost HP from battles, while at the same time removing any negativity from your current status. If you pick up any Palicoes, they’ll take a nap as well.

Just keep one thing in mind – you want to make sure that you’re not in a battle party with your friends. The reason for this is that they may want to go monster questing without you, and if you’re sleeping it off, you won’t get your fair share of the bounty. Instead, sleep on your own time, then track them down and go on the hunt in Monster Hunter: Generations!

Using the Transpurrter in Monster Hunter: Generations

If the name of the transporter in this game is a bit cheesy, don’t worry – it’s supposed to be. You can visit the Transpurrter once you complete missions, with your item bags completely full. All you need to do is withdraw any items you have by depositing and delivering them after each quest is completed. You can really only do this one time per mission, so make sure you have items that you need equipped, just in case.

If you need to pick something back up, you certainly can. Just go over to Deposit Items with the Transpurrier and pick and choose what you need. This includes food items, like raw meat and honey, which can help you get the most out of your monster hunting.

Using the Delivery Box in Monster Hunter: Generations

Next up is the Delivery Box, and this is a place you’ll want to visit often as you complete quests within the Monster Hunter world. All of your items will be dropped off here after you finish up missions, although you can save a portion of them if you feel like keeping a few on hand. Like the Transpurrier, you can manage what you don’t need, and what you do, but make sure you choose wisely.

Using the Supply Box in Monster Hunter: Generations

Out of all the things that are most vital in your base camp, the Supply Box is going to be of utmost importance. That’s because you’ll need this to stock up on whatever supplies you need to help you capture the next Monster on your list, be it something that can be tripped up by bug nets or a map that shows you where the next objective is. (We highly suggest using this, as it can be easy to get lost in such a big world.)

Just make sure you don’t carry too many items with you, as there’s only so much you can haul around when hunting beasts. Realize what their weaknesses are and try to equip the best items for the job. For instance, if a monster can take damage from fire, grab something that can shoot fiery bullets at it so you can chip away more effectively.

That’s really about it with the base camp, but you’ll find all of these to be incredibly useful as you shuffle on from quest to quest. Good luck!
