So, you’ve taken some inspiration from Raihan in Pokemon Sword and Shield and you’re wanting to swap things up with your team a little bit before the June 2020 DLC drops. Yes, we’re talking about Isle of Armor. Well, in any case, you want to add some diabolical Dragon Type Pokemon to your team, and why not add some that are adorable too? If you have an Axew on hand, you’re going to want to know what the Axew evolution level in Pokemon Sword and Shield is.
Axew Evolution Level in Pokemon Sword and Shield
So, you’re in possession of an Axew. This Dragon pokemon is a hangover from previous generations, but a super adorable one. It is the first stage of a three-tier evolutionary tree that sees your Axes turn into a Fraxure, and then into a Haxorus. If you think that your squad in Pokemon Sword and Shield needs a Dragon Type-shaped kick up the butt, then you could do far worse than an Axew. If you don’t have one yet, you can find them in Galar in the following places:
- Axew’s Eye
- Hammerlocke Hills
- Route 7
Now that you have your hands on an Axew, the pertinent question is what level it evolves into Fraxure. As mentioned above, that’s just the second step on its evolutionary chain, but that’s what we’re here to discuss. To evolve your Axew into a Fraxure, you just have to fulfill one simple criteria – your Axew has to hit Level 38. Much like evolving other Pokemon that don’t require any special concessions, it’s just a matter of reaching Level 38 so that you can pick up a Fraxure of your own. We’re honestly glad that this isn’t another case of trying to evolve Alcremie, because all of the forms that we got data on ended up being a massive headache. If you’re curious about the steps that you’re going to need to take to get any particular variety of Alcremie, you can check out our guide here that we’ve relinked for your convenience.
Now that you have our help in figuring out what the Axew evolution level in Pokemon Sword and Shield is, it’s just a matter of you reaching that particular point with your own before you can evolve it into a Fraxure. We honestly can’t get enough of how cute Axew is, but we understand that all our baby Pokemon have to grow up one day.
