Why Giving Gifts is Important
Gifting items to the residents of Forgotten Valley is an important element of the game. As you begin to build relationships with the townsfolk, you will notice that you are rewarded with worthwhile rewards for doing so. The most powerful tools in the game, for instance, are locked behind high friendship levels with certain residents. Once the friendship level is high enough, you will then receive the request with the tool as the reward. On top of this, Certain outfits, records, and miscellaneous items are also obtained in the same manner.
How to Give Gifts in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life
Giving gifts to the residents of Forgotten Valley is quite easy! All you have to do is navigate to the desired item in your bag, make sure that you are holding it, and then press A to interact with the person of your choosing. While most will accept the gift the first time that you talk to them, some will need you to talk to them a second time before they accept it. Each resident will confirm that you want to give them the item, so you do not have to worry about accidentally gifting them something by mistake.
Unlike previous entries in the series, in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, you are able to give the same person multiple gifts a day as long as the items are all from different categories. The categories are animal products, flowers, meals, and artifacts. This is worth doing as it dramatically reduces the time that it takes to max out your friendship.
