Fae Farm is filled with Job Quests that allow players to experience everything that each unique skill has to offer. Critter Catching is no exception to this, and you’ll find yourself exploring all environments in search of cute and curious critters. Here is a list of every Critter Catching Job Quest and their rewards in Fae Farm.
How to Complete Every Critter Catching Job Quest in Fae Farm
Job Quests are a great way to show off your skill in a certain area. What’s more, is that the final quest that you will fulfill will reward you with an outfit. Most of these outfits are absolutely worth the effort that it takes to complete the quests. The Critter Catching outfit is no exception to this rule! Plus, with the number of Critters you will be catching to obtain resources, you might as well work on the Job Quests along the way!
Where to Start Critter Catching Job Quests
To start your Critter Catching Job Quest journey, you will need to seek out Mel. He’s the guy who is obsessed with critters and is always hanging out next to the beehives. He is located at the Windmill and there are two ways that you can get there.
- Teleport to West Town and then immediately run up the stairs. Mel is unmissable.
- From your Homestead, take the west bridge over the river, and then the first southern path to reach the Windmill.
Whichever path you take, talk to him and then click Job Quests to start on your journey.

Watch, wait, and swing at just the right time. | To catch 2 critters at the same time, make sure that they are close together and both have the blue circle around them. I found this easiest to do with Fireflies in the Elven Village and managed to catch three simultaneously. These critters are as follows: Any but Fireflies are easiest. | Stone Brick |
Moon moths, rainbow frogs, dazzle flies, blue crabs and queen bees are rare! | You need to catch 3 Rare Critters to complete this quest. Rare Critters are differentiated by the white sparkle around them. The easiest spawns in my experience were Blue Crabs on the beach, Queen Bees in the Elven Village and Mountains, and the Moon Moth around Azoria at night. These critters are as follows: Moon Moth, Rainbow Frog, Dazzle Fly, Blue Crab, and Queen Bee. | Small Gone Potion |
Concentrate, be sneaky, and you can catch ’em! | You need to catch 6 Fae Critters to complete this quest. Specifically, buddies and bloblins. Bloplins are the blob-like critters that bounce around, and buddies look like leaf insects. You will need to have the Sturdy Critter Net to do so. Even then, it can be tricky to catch these critters, but just keep swinging and you’ll get them eventually! These critters are as follows: Green Bloblin, Pink Bloblin, Luster Bloblin, Leaf Buddy, Shroom Buddy, and Rose Buddy. | Medium Gone Potion |
Don’t give up! They can be caught… I promise. | You need to catch 6 Fae Critters to complete this quest. Specifically, the critters that float around in the Elven Village. You will need to have the Sturdy Critter Net to do so. Even then, it can be tricky to catch these critters, but just keep swinging and you’ll get them eventually! These critters are as follows: Fae Shadow, Gloom Shade, Willow Whisp, Myst Fairy, Sun Sprite, and Fae Fairy. | Small Zoom Potion |
Look for a luster bloblin, rose buddy, Fae fairy or willow wisp. | You will need to catch 4 rare Fae Critters to complete this quest. The rare Fae Critters are differentiated by the white glow around them. The Elven Village is smaller than the rest of the game world and so you should find the rare Fae Critters by just walking back and forth around the area itself. These critters are as follows: Luster Bloblin, Rose Buddy, Fae Fairy, and Willow Wisp. | Small Warmth Potion |
Frosty and rock-colored mountain critters are made of snowflakes and stone. | You will need to catch 8 frosty and rock-colored mountain critters to complete this quest. These critters are as follows: Crystal Fly, Frost Dragini, Hail’s Toad, Snow Crab, Frost Root, Cobbles Toad, Mudlin, White Welk, Rock Root, Slab Crab, and Stone Lunk. | Medium Warmth Potion |

These critters are as follows: Blaze Bug, Fire Dragini, Cinder Moth, Lava Sprite, Lava Root, Cinder Lunk, Needle Beetle, Cypress Damselfly, Maple Moth, Timber Root, Alpine Cone Crab, and Amber Lunk. | Critter Wallpaper Recipe |
Look for a cypress damselfly, slab crab, lava sprite and hails toad! | You will need to catch 8 rare Mountain critters. Unlocking the Critter Catching Outfit
The first part of the Critter Catching Outfit, the hat, is obtained when you complete the final Job Quest. Once you have done this, swap to the Achievements section of the Job Quests menu, and you will see that there is a sole task that will reward you with the Critter Catching Outfit.
To complete this achievement and unlock the outfit you will need to have caught one of every Critter in Fae Farm. By now, you should be close to this! If not, check your Alamanac to see what you are missing! When you have collected them all, go back to the above menu, and redeem the quest to unlock the outfit.
Now you have caught every single bug in the game, and it’s time to move on to the next thing. If you’re going to work on the Mining Job Quests, make sure you know which gems are in Saltwater Mines, Floating Ruins, and Scorched Caverns!
