Black Spindle

The first weapon to hit our list is a must-have for any sniper rifle fans that play Destiny. Reminiscent of the Black Hammer from Destiny’s first year, this Exotic Sniper Rifle is full of great perks, outstanding weapon design, and one of the most complex how to get scenarios we’ve seen since Destiny first released. While this weapon is especially useful for taking out enemies, it does only feature a 3 round magazine. This limitation, however, is easily taken care of thanks to the White Nail perk, which completely refills the magazine when the Guardian using it lands three consecutive precision hits in rapid succession. We’ve already wrote up an entire guide on how to get the Black Spindle, so be sure to check it out and grab it as soon as you can.

The Chaperone

The second weapon on our list, the Chaperone, is an Exotic Shotgun that can only be acquired by completing the Jolly Holiday quest, which is given to you by Amanda Holliday, The Tower’s shipwright. We’ve got all the details on how to get this gun in our guide. So be sure to check it out. This shotgun is so special, and such a good choice for PVE and PVP players, because of the three perks that it carries. The most important perk, The Survivor, is actually extremely useful for players handling crowd control, as three rapid precision kills while Born on the Road is active will return two of the expelled rounds back to the chamber.

The Telesto

Next up on our list is this hard-hitting Exotic Fusion Rifle. This weapon is a perfect match for Fusion Rifle lovers, as it offers a decent amount of damage, paired with some outstanding mid-tier perks. Similar to the Needler, a weapon in Halo, the Telesto’s Unplanned Reprieve perk caused this weapon’s projectiles to attach to enemies and detonate after a few short seconds. This makes it an excellent weapon for dealing with enemies who are peaking in and out of cover. The Harbinger’s Spark perk also makes this weapon useful in missions with high amounts of enemies, as getting multi-kills with this weapon will spawn Orbs for the other Guardians in your Fireteam.

These are the three best Exotic Special Weapons in Destiny: The Taken King, and every player should grab them before Destiny: Rise of Iron releases. The newest expansion to the Destiny universe will release exclusively on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 20. We’ll be covering the game very extensively in the coming days, so be sure to stay tuned for in depth walkthroughs, guides, and tips for the new missions and strikes.
