With the Xbox One due for release later this year, some Xbox 360 owners were concerned about using current equipment for it – namely their headsets. Today, the company confirmed, through its lead planner, Alberto Penello, that you will be able to use them on the next-gen machine.

When asked about the issue, Penello replied on Twitter, “Yes.  We will have an adapter that allows current gaming headsets to work.”

No other information was given about the availability of said adapter, but seeing as how the system won’t be packaged with a headset to begin with, it’s likely to be sold separately.

This follows news from last month where Microsoft had begun research for a way to allow users to bring their Xbox 360 headsets to the system.

We’ll have more info on the adapter’s price and release date once Microsoft confirms the details.

The Xbox One will arrive later this year.
