Mission: Ghosts of the Past

Objective: Leave town. Avoid the Police. 

You need to leave town without being seen by the police. This isn’t like a normal escape from the police scenario, because if the police spot you, the mission fails. There’s no room for error and no chance to escape. You either go completely undetected, or you start the mission over. 

The route the police take varies, so there isn’t a specific route that always works. Do not attempt to get on the highway, and don’t remain stationary at all. You have to keep moving north if you want to avoid the police helicopter, but you can move east or west to avoid police activity. Don’t get anywhere near the police if you want to escape successfully. 

It’s helpful to pull your GPS up so you know the general direction you’re heading, but don’t let the GPS be your guide. Your eyes should always be on the mini-map so you can spot and avoid police activity as quickly as possible. As a general tip, head north when the mission begins in order to avoid the chopper, then head to the far west side of the city. There’s usually less police activity using this route, but you still have to be very careful. You don’t have to make it to the waypoint on the map, just far enough to make the white circle appear, then move beyond it. Once you get close to the waypoint the mission is complete.
