Ubisoft leaks and E3 go hand in hand and it looks like it’s that time of year again, because a pretty hefty leak has surfaced regarding a potential Watch Dogs 3 and it’s location and how it handles playable characters.
The rumors have been swirling on Reddit over the past week with an imposed ‘confirmation’ from Kotaku’s Jason Schreier about a post-Brexit London game called Watch Dogs Legion. The rumors have been further perpetuated by an Amazon UK leak, another piece of the puzzle that Kotaku “can confirm” is real.
According to the listing, “Play as anyone, Every individual you meet in the open world, has a full set of animations, voice over, character traits and visuals that are generated & guided by gameplay systems.” While some sites are reporting playing as NPCs, that’s a bit of an oxymoron when they actually become playable, making the “No Playable Character” label pretty much irrelevant. Still, the message is the same, showing a drastic pivot from the previous two games.
E3 officially kicks off a little early this year ahead of the showcase with EA Play commencing on the 7th. With the multitude of leaks that have followed, it looks pretty obvious that we’ll be getting a reveal this weekend.
