UK catalogue Argos has let customers buy Halo 3 a week before it’s supposed to be released.

Eurogamer’s forums became awash with pictures of fans sharp enough to spot that Argos let the horse bolt a little too early.
Argos has become aware of their mistake apparently and is holding back the game until its proper release in the UK on Wednesday.
This all began when the Argos website had made the mistake of publishing information that pre-orderers could pick up the game today or “Wed 19th September – Thu 20th September”.
The game was given to those who had pre-ordered it in stores. Ebay is awash with copies.
