During today’s extremely gamerfied Netflix Geeked Week stream, several new “anime” shows were announced. Three of these shows, at least one of which is being produced by Adi Ahankar (Castlevania, Devil May Cry), are based on Ubisoft properties.

First up is a series based on Splinter Cell, Ubisoft’s premiere Tom Clancy property that has been dormant for years outside of various cameos. The series’ writing team is led by Derek Kolstad, one of the creators of John Wick.
Next is a much more ambitious-looking project called Captain Laserhawk, a “Blood Dragon Remix” that seems to be a part of Shankar’s “Bootleg Universe.” Blood Dragon was of course the title of Ubisoft’s 80s-inspired Far Cry 3 spinoff, but Captain Laswerhawk is expanding the scope. In a tweet, Shankar stated the series includes “all Ubisoft properties,” calling this project “Captain N: The Game Master but good.”
Finally, a third show with the least amount of detail, is an adaptation of Far Cry. That’s all we know so far. No seriously, we got a logo and nothing else. So, you know, more on that later… sometime!
