According to a tweet from the Tales of Arise Twitter account and IGN, it was revealed that Tales of Arise will officially release on September 10, 2021. The news comes after the game was delayed “indefinitely” back in 2020 in order to give the developers time to “achieve the quality and provide the gorgeous experience” that they envisioned.
For those who’ve been waiting for Tales of Arise, it’s undoubtedly nice to know exactly how long it’ll be before the game is released.
Tales of Arise to Release September 10
Tales of Arise has an official release date which was announced today via a post from IGN which was then retweeted by the Tales of Arise Twitter account.
According to the announcement, Tales of Arise will release on September 10 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
Speaking with IGN, Tales of Arise producer Yusuke Tomizawa stated:
“Having announced that delay and working through COVID and changing how we do work, this year of development has been pretty positive for the most part.
Mostly because we have given ourselves the time to really focus on quality and improvement of the game, as well as expanding accessibility and giving players more options, such as porting it to the PS5 and the Xbox [Series] next-generation consoles so that we have wider options for the consumer to choose from when they’re thinking about buying this game.”
For those who are familiar with the Tales franchise but less so in regards to Tales of Arise, here’s the game’s description as provided by the Tales of Arise page on Bandai Namco’s website.
“On the planet Dahna, reverence has always been given to Rena, the planet in the sky, as a land of the righteous and divine. Stories handed down for generations became truth and masked reality for the people of Dahna. For 300 years, Rena has ruled over Dahna, pillaging the planet of its resources and stripping people of their dignity and freedom.
Our tale begins with two people, born on different worlds, each looking to change their fate and create a new future. Featuring a new cast of characters, updated combat, and classic Tales of gameplay mechanics, experience the next chapter in the world-famous Tale of series, Tales of Arise.”
