Suda 51, the undeniably quirky – and creative – developer behind such games as Lollipop Chainsaw and Shadows of the Damned, can’t wait to get his hands on a PlayStation 4 development kit.
Speaking in an update posted by Japanese publication Famitsu, Suda 51 stated about the forthcoming system, “I think that in the future, cloud delivery will become totally commonplace. Social network has certainly done that. To be able to play anywhere, on any device, with shared data – this will be an alluring new feature for games.” He basically feels that cloud saving as a standard is also “an evolution in itself.”
But it’s his next statement where things get interesting. “Thinking about the future of this stuff and then constructing and outputting something appealing is our job as game designers, and from that challenge we can take new strength.” He concluded, “And that makes me horny.”
There’s no word yet on what Suda is working on for the system, but obviously, you can tell he’s really excited. Maybe Sony can kick off an ad campaign where people ask, “Does PS4 make you horny, baby? YEAH!” (Did anyone here watch Austin Powers?)
