From the original announcement trailer, Sophitia and Mitsurugi were confirmed to be in the game, as well as an unknown new character shown at the very end of the trailer that ended up being Grøh, who was shown in the recent character trailer above. The new character trailer also confirmed Mitsurugi, Nightmare, Xianghua and Kilik. At the very end of this new trailer you can see a corrupted version of Kilik, but that’s just a power-up you can use mid-match, not a new form. Most recently, Ivy and Zasalamel were both confirmed for the game. While Ivy was a given, fans are very excited to see the return of Zasalamel, who missed out on Soul Calibur IV and V (unless you count the create-a-soul mode in SC4). Last month, the first guest character has been revealed as Geralt from The Witcher series will be included in the game, and now we have confirmation that Siegfried Schtauffen will be joining Nightmare in Soul Calibur VI, alongside the newly revealed ninja, Taki returning to the fray.

It was comfirmed at E3 2018 that one more brand new character would be added to the launch roster. In addition, at least one more guest character will be coming as one of the four DLC characters that are planned to arrive after the game releases. Talim was also announced shortly after E3 2018, and at San Diego Comic-Con 2018, Bandai Namco announced Voldo’s addition to the roster.

The blitz of Soul Calibur information started to arrive as E3 2018 approached, with two announcements in May for Yoshimitsu and Maxi, followed by Voldo and Talim soon after. Evo 2018 had a big Soul Calibur 6 tournament, and on Finals Sunday Astaroth and Seonh Mi-Na were announced. It’s expected that more character announcements will be made at Evo 2018 in early August.

Finally, at Gamescom Tira was announced as a DLC character, with Cervantes and Raphael confirmed via an event in Austalia that featured the final build. You can obtain Tira as a bonus if fyou purchase the season pass, or you can buy her separately at a later time.

Shortly after the game released no October 19, 2018, 2B from Nier Automata was confirmed to be the second guest character and one of the four DLC characters alongside Tira. There are at least two more DLC characters coming, so we’ll be sure to update you as these new characters are announced.

Geralt will utilize the witcher’s signature fighting style, which includes a combination of swordplay, ability-enhancing potions, and combat magic. We don’t have much additional information beyond the trailer below, but we expect to see matches with Geralt in the ner future so stay tuned for any updates on that front. In the past some Soul Calibur games have had more than one guest character, and we’ve heard rumors surrounding everyone from Zoro (One Piece) to Jago (Killer Instinct), so there’s still a chance more guest characters will be announced. If that happens we’ll be sure to keep this article updated!

This new Soul Calibur game takes place during the time of the first Soul Calibur game, so many fans are assuming most, if not all of the staple characters will be making an appearance, even as DLC. So far that looks to be the case with the launch roster and what we know of the DLC, but for now we’re only listing the confirmed characters. The fact that Zasalamel and Tira are included in the game means that characters that were introduced long after the events of Soul Calibur 1 still have a chance to make it into the latest title. We’ll continue to update the list above as new characters are officially confirmed.
