Sony has a “giant” deal for PlayStation Plus subscribers this week, as it has announced that Team Ico’s remastered PlayStation 2 classic Shadow of the Colossus will be this week’s free game for the Instant Game Collection.
In Colossus, you play a small but nimble warrior tasked with bringing down gigantic beasts by any means necessary, all for the sake of rescuing his beloved.
In addition to Colossus, Team Ico’s other game, the classic action/adventure Ico, is still available as a PlayStation Plus download, meaning you can now get the “full” collection free of charge. Nothing wrong with that.
In addition, several discounts are being offered in a one-week sale, including deals on PS One classic games like Spyro the Dragon, CTR: Crash Team Racing and the Crash Bandicoot saga, which are being offered for $2.99 a piece, as well as markdowns on select on Activision games, including Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD ($7.99) and Angry Birds Trilogy ($20.99). Team 17’s awesome Worms Crazy Golf is also on sale, going for the low price of $2.50.
