Seven New Cast Members Confirmed for Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher

Who you’ll see in The Witcher Season 2, and who they’ll be portraying.

On Twitter, seven new cast members were revealed as part of Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher. While we know actors from Season 1 like Henry Cavill will return as Geralt, seeing a whopping seven new cast members announced today is exciting as it offers additional insight into who (and what) we can expect to see in Season Two of Netflix’s The Witcher.

Seven New Cast Members Confirmed for Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher

Seven cast members have been confirmed as part of Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher. The cast members were revealed by the official Twitter account for The Witcher, with the announcement including portraits of each actor along with information on which characters they’ll be portraying.

The seven cast members and the characters they’ll be playing are as follows:

  • Adjoa Andoh as Nenneke
  • Cassie Clare as Philippa Eilhart
  • Liz Carr as Fenn
  • Graham McTavish as Dijkstra
  • Kevin Doyle as Ba’lian
  • Simon Callow as Codringher
  • Chris Fulton as Rience

Along with this who’s who, additional tweet replies from the account can be found that elaborate more upon who the characters these actors will play are in relation to Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher.

Adjoa Andoh as Nenneke

“As a Priestess, Nenneke is a mother figure to many lost travelers who find themselves seeking refuge at the gates of Melitele Temple. She has nursed many, including Geralt, back to health with her elixirs, ointments, and level-headed advice.”

Cassie Clare as Philippa Eilhart

“Equal parts charming and conniving, Philippa Eilhart is a primary advisor to Redania’s King Vizimir. Her ability to figuratively — and literally — shapeshift through courts and parties alike makes her one of the most influential sorceresses within the Continent’s politics.”

Graham McTavish as Dijkstra

“As head of the Redanian Intelligence secret service, double crossers and ne’er do wells all over the Continent know Sigismund Dijkstra’s name when whispered. His impressive style and physical strength are second to his knowledge of kings and mages and getting everything he wants.”

Kevin Doyle as Ba’lian

“Having escaped violent round-ups in the North, Ba’lian is one of many elves seeking safe refuge in unexpected places on the Continent. Brave and principled, his journey intersects with some surprising characters, who are inspired by his refusal to go down without a fight.”

Chris Fulton as Rience

“A sadistic mage with a penchant for fire, Rience is employed by a mysterious lord in order to hunt down a prized jewel. His cruel tactics leave deep scars wherever he goes… though he’ll try in vain to escape without some of his own.”

Liz Carr as Fenn

“Partners-in-crime — ostensibly, solving crime — Codringher and Fenn deal in the business of information: gathering, knowing, revealing, and even burying, for the right price.”

Simon Callow as Codringher

“Codringher acts as the face of the business, while Fenn stays buried in her research; neither have ever been presented with a mystery as all-encompassing as the one about to drop into their Dorian office.”

Adjoa Andoh (seen above as Lady Danbury in Bridgerton) will play Nenneke in Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher.

If some of these actors sound familiar, it’s because many are notable for their work in other shows and films. For example, Adjoa Andoh played Lady Danbury in Bridgerton and did voice acting for Sona / Cpl. Vandana Sarai in Horizon Zero Dawn.

Meanwhile, Graham McTavish voiced Dracula in Netflix’s Castlevania, and played characters like Dougal MacKenzie / Buck MacKenzie in Outlander, Father Kinley in Lucifer, and The Saint of Killers / The Cowboy in Preacher.

Cassie Clare has played characters like Rhiannon in Delicious and Anna in Tremors: Shrieker Island, and Kevin Doyle has played characters like Joseph Molesley in Downton Abbey, John Constable in The Tudors, Howard Crane in Drop Dead Gorgeous, Henry Scarlet in Miss Scarlet and the Duke.

As for Simon Callow, he’s played characters like Henry Palmer in The Rebel, Charles Dickens in Doctor Who, and Elihu in The Company, and Liz Carr has played characters like Clarissa Mullery in Silent Witness.

Lastly, Chris Fulton who’ll play Rience in Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher has previously been seen as characters like Sir Phillip Crane in Bridgerton, Charlie Lamont-Smith in Clique, and Jay in Retribution.

For even more Witcher news, it’s worth noting that this isn’t the first casting announcement we’ve seen for The Witcher.

Earlier this year, one of the cast members for The Witcher prequel The Witcher: Blood Origin was revealed to be Jodie Turner-Smith who’s tapped to play Éile, “A fierce warrior with the voice of a goddess. The limited series will tell the story of the first Witcher prototype and the Conjunction of the Spheres.”

We’re looking forward to seeing all of these actors and actresses in their roles in Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher, and learning more about actors and actresses that’ll join Jodie Turner-Smith in The Witcher: Blood Origin. For more on The Witcher, we’ve included the final trailer for Season 1 below.
