It's all about GonGon.

Sega is ready to start monkeying around again as they’ll be bringing Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz, the latest entry in the skill action series, to the PlayStation Vita this October.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz contains more than 100 stages of puzzle mayhem and eight mini-games (including such fan favorites as Monkey Target and Monkey Bingo) as well as a full complement of Vita-specific features that take advantage of the powerful handheld console. Tilt control functionality allows gamers to step inside the Monkey Ball and negotiate the game world using motion control, while the PS Vita’s camera can be used to capture real-world objects to create custom stages within the game.

Online multiplayer means gamers will not only be able to challenge their friends and family, but also go bananas at each other just about anywhere in the world and Global Leaderboards – accessible via GPS – will set the precedent for the most talented monkey manipulator out there.

No word yet if the game is simply downloadable or if a retail version will be available, but you can bet that it’ll be on hand at Sega’s booth at E3 in just a couple of weeks.  We’ll see if the game is worth monkeying around with then.  Check back for a preview!
