Sea Of Thieves Reveals New Story Trailer In ‘Shores of Gold’

by Liana Ruppert

Sea of Thieves continues to build upon content in an effort to entice players out into the open sea. Since launch, numerous updates have been added to add more dangers, more treasure, and far more adventures. Now the studio over at Rare are showing off the next step for the online game with a stunning new Shores of Gold trailer.

“Wield wondrous artefacts, pit your wits against puzzles and face down truly fearsome guardians as you follow this trail of Tall Tales,” boasts the cinematic trailer’s description for what will be a free anniversary update for players to enjoy.

The latest adventure will see pirates go through a series of connected storylines built around discovery. In search of a mythical, lost island – players will stumble upon new mysteries, treasure, and more things that will inevitably want to kill them. All in a pirate’s day, right?

Rare added, “Tall Tales — Shores of Gold introduces Skeleton Lords, imposing characters clambering out of the oldest legends into the present day. Meaner than any of the bony marauders you’ve fought so far, these intimidating adversaries can only be encountered by following the story as it unfolds.

“Be prepared for anything when seeking out Skeleton Lords — these resourceful foes will resist any attempt to send them back to their resting place beneath the sands. They’re big, tough and full of surprises…”

The new adventure awaits on April 30th for Xbox One and Windows 10.
