Embarking on an epic adventure is always a blast, but being able to play with your friends makes it all the more exciting. Does Sea of Thieves offer Cross-Play for those on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, or will you be sailing the high seas alone?
Can You Play Sea of Thieves Cross-Play on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC?
No matter if you’re hoping to help your friends or are planning on partaking in some chaos when the PlayStation servers go live, you’ll be glad to know that Cross-Play is available from Day One on PlayStation 5. This means that users across all platforms can play with one another, according to a post by the official Sea of Thieves X account.
This means that if you’ve been playing for a while on Xbox, you can help out your pals who just picked up a PlayStation copy of the game, or if you’re planning on jumping between consoles, you can stick to your preferred option and turn off Cross-Play. While it may sting at first, I would strongly recommend keeping Cross-Play on, even if it means that you may meet your end in a watery grave more than you’d like to admit at first.
Much like other platforms, however, the ability to use Cross-Play can be turned off at any time. You can also embark on Safer Seas to learn the ropes before engaging your enemies in epic naval warfare, which is also strongly recommended. Sea of Thieves is a blast once you’ve learned the ropes, but there is a steep learning curve that may take even the most skilled of players some time to learn.
Be sure to keep your eyes on our Sea of Thieves section below to learn more about the game, and find out what kind of adventures will wait for you in this exciting pirate adventure. See which sea-fairing game you should get for you and your friends, and get ready to sail the seven seas together.
