Resident Evil 6 claws it’s way forward

Worldwide 20th November release

The official reveal of Resident Evil 6 came yesterday during Capcom’s Live Stream event for upcoming Resident Evil: Revelations and Operation: Raccoon City.

The game will be released, worldwide, on 20th November for PS3 and 360 with a PC version following soon after.

According to Capcom, the storyline is: “It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the President’s side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world’s population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left.”

GameStop, Best Buy, and Amazon will be  giving away pre-order bonuses, with each retailer offering “an exclusive map that will function with various modes in the game.”

The reveal trailer can viewed on the official Resident Evil YouTube channel.

The game was initially teased several days prior to the Live Stream event via NoHopeLeft.com where an unknown user has been updating on the news of various biological outbreaks spreading across the globe.

A user on the official European Capcom Forums has broken down what is known about the game so far.
