Now that Rockstar Games has released their highly anticipated wild west adventure Red Dead Redemption 2, inquiring cowboy minds want to know: when does multiplayer release for Red Dead Redemption 2? If you’re one of the players who is excited to saddle up with friends online for some outlaw shenanigans, you’ll want to know when Red Dead Redemption 2’s multiplayer mode, Red Dead Online, is set to arrive. Here’s what we know about Red Dead Online’s release timeframe so far.
When Does Red Dead Online Multiplayer Release?
Unlike GTA Online, Red Dead Redemption’s multiplayer mode, Red Dead Online, did not launch alongside the release of the single-player game. Last month, Rockstar revealed its plans to host an upcoming beta for the online multiplayer portion of Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar said that a Red Dead Online beta would be on its way in November 2018, less than a month out from the release of the main game.
Rockstar claimed that the Red Dead Online Beta would be a public beta test, which means that once the release date is announced, players should be able to just dive in and play without needing an invite. Rockstar hasn’t announced the official release date for the beta, however.
We will be sure to update this page as soon as a release date is confirmed for Red Dead Online, so you’ll want to bookmark this page and check back later for new information.
