After releasing the game for various platforms (and even dropping the price to $19.99 just to get the word out about how awesome it is), Ubisoft is finally moving forward on its latest platform release for Rayman Origins, its exquisitely designed side-scrolling platforming adventure. This time it’s hitting the Nintendo 3DS after months of being rumored to be in the works. Yep, it’s official, and its release isn’t too far off!
The game will hit store shelves on June 5. Though pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, it’s expected to be a fairly good value. What’s more it will mark the first time that the game will be offered both as a full retail release and a digital download on the Nintendo Network. Though data storage plans haven’t been revealed, players should have enough room on their system to install the game.
As part of today’s Nintendo Network update, Ubisoft has released a free demo of the game so you can try out a couple of levels and see just how beautiful it looks in 3D. If you don’t, you’ll be kicking yourself later. Or maybe Globox will kick you around…
