While many the Last of Us fans are hoping for news regarding the highly anticipated sequel, the game’s director has teased a casting pick that nobody saw coming: American rapper Logic. Director Neil Druckmann took to Twitter to share a new motion capture image featuring none other than Logic. With no hints prior of his involvment, fans of the rapper were shocked to see this out-of-the-blue confirmation.

The image showcases the rapper alongside Critical Role’s Travis Willingham in full mo-cap gear. With the caption “Had a little too much fun brualizing these two fine gentlemen,” the nature of Logic’s role doesn’t seem like it’s going to mean good things for his character.
Unfortunately we don’t know in what capacity his involvement with the game is, we’ll take anything we can get since Naughty Dog seems keen on keeping quiet about any news regarding the upcoming title.
As far as the title itself goes, we don’t have a release date at this time for the highly anticipated sequel, though numerous reports have mentioned that a 2019 launch is likely. One thing we know for sure is that we’re excited to see what’s next!
According to the game’s official synopsis, “Ellie is now 19 and has found a semblance of peace and normality living in Jackson. She’s had a chance to be a teenager and forge lasting relationships. When that peace is disrupted by a violent act, Ellie is thrust into a brutal journey of retribution, fueled by a need to bring those that have wronged her to justice, pushing her to her very limits.”
