Prince of Persia Remake Listing Leaks

Surprise! Retailers really do love ruining surprises, particularly Ubisoft's.
This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information

The Prince of Persia series has been rather dormant for quite some time, and despite rumors and leaks galore, Ubisoft hasn’t exactly budged in terms of telling fans what’s next. However, thanks to a recent leak from an online game retailer, it looks like a Prince of Persia Remake is inbound.

The listings for Prince of Persia Remake on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch recently appeared on Guatemalan retailer MAX, which is apparently an official Nintendo distributor, according to the folks on Reddit. As of the time of writing, each listing is still on the website. they were first spotted by Ken Xyro on Twitter (thanks, ResetEra), who also included screenshots should the listings be removed.

Not a ton of information is known at this time about the Prince of Persia Remake. Each listing shows a November 2020 release date, and there are only PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions listed at this time. Ken Xyro goes on in the thread on Twitter to say that they’ve heard it is a remake of the entire trilogy. Of course, as it goes with all leaks, rumors, and the like, be sure to keep some salt nearby as we won’t know much until Ubisoft starts talking.

Ubisoft has kept rather quiet about the Prince of Persia series. Following the cancellation of E3 this year, many had hoped to see something during their digital presentation. Unfortunately, that never happened, but with the latest leak now out in the wild, it might persuade the devs to start talking.
