With the way that both Pokemon Black and White 2 have been selling over the past few months, the franchise clearly isn’t losing any steam – so it seems like a perfect time to introduce all new editions for the Nintendo 3DS, wouldn’t you say?
That’s exactly what Nintendo did this morning, announcing that Pokemon X and Pokemon Y will be releasing worldwide for the Nintendo 3DS this October. This new adventure game marks the first time that Nintendo is aiming for a global release simultaneously with the games rather than going region by region, starting in Japan.
The game is a whole new adventure taking place in a 3D world, putting you in control of a new dynamic system and one of three extraordinary new Pokemon – Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie. Two “legendary” Pokemon will also be thrown into the game, in case you feel like doing some hunting.
Said Junichi Masuda, director at Pokemon developer Game Freak, “We brought Pokemon into an entirely new dimension. The stunning visuals, a completely redesigned environment, game scenario, music and communication features will bring smiles to the faces of video game players around the world.”
We’ll have previews of the games very soon.
