Pokemon Pokedex Officially Released For iOS

Who says you need to drag around a 3DS? A tablet's so much easier…

Whoever said Nintendo wouldn’t consider doing anything for the mobile front (outside of the 3DS, obviously) apparently hasn’t taken a look on the App Store as of late.

The Pokemon Company has announced that it has released the Pokemon Pokedex for iOS, for use with both iPhones and iPads.  This app lets users browse through their favorite Pokemon, viewing their stats however they see fit and learning how to evolve them in the best way possible.

Pricing for this app is rather tricky.  The initial purchase is $1.99 for the program, which gives you access to Pokemon from the Unova region.  If you want the four other regions, you can buy them separately for $5.99 apiece.  That means the program runs about $26 total for die-hard Pokemon fans, but there’s no question it’ll be a success.

We’ll take a closer look at the app soon.
