Oxenfree vs. Oxenfree II: Lost Signals

The first Oxenfree was released in 2016 for PC and the Xbox One initially, followed by PS4 and Nintendo Switch, becoming an indie cult classic thanks to its impressive art style, storytelling, and unique characters. However, based on the critic reviews, it appears that Oxenfree II: Lost Signals has achieved higher marks than the first entry on each of its platforms according to Metacritic’s aggregate score.

The game netted an 81 on Nintendo Switch, as well as 79 Metascores for PS4 and Xbox One, all of which trail Lost Signals’ corresponding ratings in the current generation. However, the PC version of Oxenfree slightly outperformed its sequel, receiving an 80 from critics.
