The next Overwatch event is almost here and the team over at Blizzard has shared a brand new video showing off where the road leads next. Get ready to head to Havana, because Storm Rising is bringing with it not only new cosmetic items to earn – but a new map as well.
According to Blizzard, “Fight in the streets of Havana as Tracer, Winston, Genji, or Mercy to extract a high-ranking member of the Talon organization and unlock pieces of the past with over 100 items from last year and many new ones–including highlight intros, emotes, sprays, and more.”
The official trailer for the new event is intense, especially for Genji x Mercy shippers. Seeing him carve a car in half and Tracer looking like a total BA on her motorcycle, the team over at Blizzard is definitely listening to the fan-fiction writers of the community, because this material is golden.
We have to admit, though – the cinematic vehicle additions are sure making us wish for some kind of Overwatch racing game – perhaps an Arcade mode? The game has been out for a few years now with many players begging for additional content to keep the FPS fresh outside of a rotation of events. Perhaps a few new modes could do the trick – and, you know … racing.
The Storm Rising event kicks off on April 16th on Xbox One, PlayStatoin 4, and PC.
