Everyone that ordered a development console version of the Ouya will receive the device on on December 28. The devices will go to everyone who pledged over $700 for the Ouya’s Kickstarter.

These early versions of the consoles will behave exactly like the the final versions of the console, which will ship in March 2013. They are, however, described as “pretty special” by the developer, calling them “rare drops”.
Those that receive the dev version of the Ouya will also have access to an early version of the Ouya Development Kit. Also, everyone that invested enough in the Ouya Kickstarter to receive a console will receive an email by Christmas with a link to activate their particular Ouya screen name.
