This week’s eShop update was already given a boost yesterday with the surprising release of Nintendo’s NES Remix, which takes a variety of classic 8-bit titles and reshuffles them into an entertaining mini-game format. However, Nintendo has even more classic memories available today, as part of its weekly eShop update for Wii U and 3DS.
Leading the charge on the handheld are two new 3D classics from Sega from the company’s 16-bit era. Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master features sleek ninja action, along with refined visuals that take advantage of the system’s 3D formatting. Also available is the original Streets of Rage, a classic brawler where you take on Mr. X’s barrage of cronies, utilizing every punch and kick you can with three unique characters. The games are $5.99 apiece.
Over on the Wii U eShop, Konami has released the original NES Castlevania, a fitting adventure that’s worth revisiting – especially for its $4.99 price tag.
Several other releases hit the service this week as well, including…
Knytt Underground (Wii U0
Crash n’ the Boys Street Challenge (Nintendo 3DS)
Banana Bliss: Jungle Puzzles (Nintendo 3DS)
Winter Sports: Feel the Spirit (Nintendo 3DS)
Brunch Panic Demo (Nintendo 3DS)
World Conqueror 3D Demo (Nintendo 3DS)
Nano Assault Neo Demo (Wii U)
Finally, Little Inferno is this week’s sale item, available for 50 percent off its normal price of $8.99 from now until January 2nd. It certainly won’t burn your wallet.
Happy downloading!
