In typical Nintendo fashion today, it tweeted out that it will host a Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase on September 17 at 7 am PT (sorry west coast folks). Now it’s important to keep expectations in check, the last partner showcase Nintendo had some great games, but this won’t be a big first-party showcase.
Last time around, Nintendo used this Partner Showcase to highlight its third-party games like Just Dance, Puyo Puyo Teris 2, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. The Nintendo Switch has had excellent third party support throughout its lifecycle thus far, and I expect it to finish out 2020 strong.
In the July Partner Showcase Nintendo finally revealed more information about Shin Megami Tensei V as well as an announcement of a SMT 3 remaster.
What exactly could be in that Direct tomorrow, we’re not quite sure, but we’re excited to find out. It seems about time for a Monster Hunter announcement on Switch, and some recent rumors have pointed towards an announcement before the Tokyo Game Show, which starts on September 23.

Of course, take that with a grain of salt, because no one is for sure, but we’re just going to have to wait and see. You can view Nintendo’s announcement tweet below.

Nintendo sure has been a little mysterious this year, holding off on many announcements until recently. This Direct should fill out the rest of its 2020 lineup and maybe even a little into 2021. It should be interesting.
Nintendo will be live streaming the Direct right here. If you’re worried about missing it, you can set a reminder on Youtube.

In other Nintendo news, Super Mario 3D all Stars release this Friday, so between tomorrow and Friday, there is plenty Nintendo content for fans to enjoy.
