News of Luigi’s Mansion being remade for the 3DS made many fans suspect that a new entry in the franchise could be on the way for Nintendo Switch. It turns out those suspicions were true.  Luigi’s Mansion 3 (which is a working title) is scheduled to launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch in 2019.

Speaking of Luigi’s Mansion for 3DS, a new two-player co-op mode was revealed for the upcoming port during today’s presentation as well, which will allow players to team up alongside one another for some ghost-hunting mischief. The 3DS version will also be compatible with certain amiibo figures, such as the Toad amiibo. The Luigi’s Mansion remake is headed to Nintendo 3DS on October 12.
