If you haven’t played Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom yet, the Switch release is a fantastic opportunity to check out this fantastic title!

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is Getting a Nintendo Switch Release

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is finally getting a Nintendo Switch release! Confirmed in an announcement from Bandai Namco, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom – Prince’s Edition will release on Nintendo Switch on September 17.

As previously mentioned, the Prince’s Edition of Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom includes both post-launch DLC releases including The Lair of the Lost Lord and Tale of a Timeless Tome. It also includes an Equipment Package and Cat King’s Claw.

Complementing the announcement, Bandai Namco released a new trailer on their YouTube channel that gives a brief overview of what Switch owners can expect from Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom – Prince’s Edition.

We’ve embedded this trailer for you to check out at the bottom of this article, you can also watch it by clicking here to navigate over to Bandai’s YouTube channel

For those who’ve never played Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom before, here’s a description courtesy of the game’s Steam page

“Welcome to the beautiful world of Ni no Kuni!

After being overthrown in a coup, the young king Evan sets out on an extraordinary quest to found a new kingdom, unite his world and protect its inhabitants from the dark forces that threaten them.

Join him on an unforgettable adventure which blurs the line between animated feature film and video game.

Developed by LEVEL-5, Ni no Kuni II features enchanting character designs from the legendary artist Yoshiyuki Momose and a stirring soundtrack composed by the world-famous Joe Hisaishi.”

And yes, you read that last part correctly. The game’s soundtrack was composed by the one and only Joe Hisaishi so if you were watching the trailer and were thinking “there’s a bit of a Studio Ghibli vibe to this” that may be one of the reasons why.

Overall though, we highly recommend checking out the Ni no Kuni games. The first game, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, is already available on Nintendo Switch if you’d prefer to start there rather than with Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom.

Of course, there’s no rules saying that you can’t wait until September and start with Ni no Kuni II on Switch first before doubling back and checking out Wrath of the White Witch. It’s entirely up to you.

To quickly recap, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom – Prince’s Edition will be available on Nintendo Switch starting September 17 at a price point of $59.99 (USD). Included in the Prince’s Edition of Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom are both DLC releases for the game including The Lair of the Lost Lord and Tale of a Timeless Tome.
