NHL 14 Turns On the Power Hits With its Latest Trailer

Even though it’s still a few months away, the hard-hitting action of NHL 14 is looking undeniably good.  EA Sports revealed a new trailer for the game today showing the use of its Infinity Engine technology (similar to what Madden NFL 13 used last year), which makes the hits look even more fantastic than ever.

Producer Sean Ramjagsingh explains in the clip how they implemented this technology into the game and how it makes hockey look even more impactful than in years past – we thought it couldn’t be done, but here it is.

It’s not just a matter of running into someone either.  A lot of factors are going into this engine, including player size, momentum, speed, and body position.  These can make all the difference between leaving someone on the ice or ending up there yourself.
