When Nintendo finally confirmed the Dragon Quest invasion coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, players were excited to get their hands on a new fighter. Hero will be a part of the upcoming rotation of new DLC characters, though outside of a vague Summer window, we don’t actually know when we’ll be able to get our hands on the newest addition. The good news is that looks like it’s going to change thanks to a recent message from Nintendo France.

The above tweet seems to be teasing immediate Hero news for this week with a “special” video mentioned in the same breath as the upcoming Dragon Quest inclusion. According to a translation courtesy of DualShockers, the message ends with: “See you soon for a special Let’s Smash (Someone said something about Heroes?),” before ending off the latest social media blast.
Given that the Let’s Smash France video series is weekly, it stands to reason that this new info drop will occur this week specifically, next week at the latest. What would be even cooler, and something many in the comment section were speculating, is instead o being an info drop, this week could possibly be a surprise release of the character. All of that is just speculation at this time and we’ll be learning soon enough!
As for the game itself, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
